Q: What are the differences between each JUVÉDERM® formulation?
A: The JUVÉDERM® family of fillers consists of a few different FDA-approved formulations, all of which contain hyaluronic acid (HA). They come in varying consistencies to treat different areas of the face. The line includes:
- JUVÉDERM® Ultra/Ultra Plus: We love using these products in the lips for a little extra plumping.
- JUVÉDERM® VOLLURE®: This formulation shines when it comes to smoothing smile lines, also called “parentheses.”
- JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA®: Add lip volume and erase lip lines with this product specially formulated for use around the mouth.
- JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA®: Because this thick product closely mimics bone structure, it’s fantastic for enhancing larger areas in need of firmer support like the cheeks and chin.
Q: Which JUVÉDERM® product lasts the longest?
A: VOLUMA® is known to last 24 months, VOLLURE® up to 18 months, and sometimes even longer. Other products tend to last closer to 12 months. However, the area injected also affects how long your filler lasts. Filler in areas like the lips that move a lot tend to dissolve faster than more stationary areas like the mid-face.
Q: Which JUVÉDERM® filler is best for lip injections?
A: When it comes to lip fillers, it’s tough to beat Ultra, Ultra Plus, and VOLBELLA®. VOLBELLA® works beautifully for subtly enhancing or rejuvenating the lips, while Ultra and Ultra Plus add sultry volume for the perfect pout.
Q: Which JUVÉDERM® filler is best for chin and cheek augmentation?

Q; Can I have multiple types of JUVÉDERM® injected during the same appointment?
A: Yes! It is entirely safe to inject different filler formulations into different areas of the face during the same treatment. We often do this as part of the DA Lift, a full-face rejuvenation treatment that combines various fillers with BOTOX® for a nonsurgical facelift effect.
Q: Why do different JUVÉDERM® fillers have different prices?
A: Prices are based in part on how long each filler lasts. Because VOLUMA® has more staying power than other formulations, it often comes at a slightly higher price point. Fillers are typically priced per syringe, so your price will depend on how much filler you have injected as well as which type you have injected. We’ll go over your expected costs with you after designing your custom treatment plan during your consultation.
